EVERY convention of the American Water Works Association has in a certain sense a keynote— some particular feature that dominates it and leads in its discussion. The Louisville convention was particularly noticeable in this respect. A very distinct keynote ran through its entire sessions and this was “Fire Protection and Fire Prevention."
