Fire Prevention Flag

Fire Prevention Flag

A fire prevention flag has been designed by Fire Inspector James A. Soteriades of the Whitehall, Ohio, Fire Department. A house and the words, “Fight Fires,” are in white on a blue field. Red and orange flames are superimposed on the house.

Soteriades flies the flag on weekends and holidays to make passersby think about whether they turned off stove burners, extinguished cigarettes and disconnected irons and similar electrical appliances before leaving their homes.
