The Fire Marshals’ Association of North America and the newly formed National Conference of Fire Marshals, which was organized last October by insurance commissioners who are ex-officio fire marshals, held the annual meeting of the associations at the Hotel Astor, New York City, December 8, 9, 10. It was decided to dissolve the new organization. F. H. Ellsworth, insurance commissioner and ex-officio fire marshal of Michigan, was selected by the two organizations to preside at the meeting. The organization will still be known as the Fire Marshals’ Association of North America, and the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, J. A. Tracy, Iowa; vice-president, W. A. McSwain, South Carolina; secretary and treasurer, L. T. Hussey, Kansas. Executive Committee : The three officers, W. N. Van Camp, S. Dak., and H. L. Reade, N. Dak. The program followed pretty closely the advanced program of the association as published in our issue of December 1.
