FIRE DEPARTMENT NEWS.
Dr. Henry R. Lane, father of the late Chief J. Lansing Lane of the Troy (N. Y.) Fire Department, died in that city, February 4. of paralysis, at the age of seventy-eight.
Fire Marshal Lewis of Brooklyn reports for January 121 fires, causing a loss of $138,235, insured for $563,550.
