Fire Bids Opened.
ALEXANDRIA, LA.—The fire committee has let contract to the Manhattan Rubber Company, of New York, for furnishing 1,500 feet of fire hose.
NEW BEDFORD. Mass.—The American-La France Fire Engine Co., of Elmira, N. Y., has received contract for furnishing 3,000 feet of fire hose at their bid of $2,592.
