Fire Apparatus Have Right-of-Way
All automobile owners in New York State, will receive with their 1940 licenses, printed instructions calling on motorists to observe traffic laws giving fire apparatus the right of way. The instructions read:
“Failing to give the fire apparatus the right of way, illegal parking, and obstructing the hydrants, create delays which aid the spread of fire and increase dancer to human life awaiting rescue.
