Ex-Chief Thomas F. Connell Dead
Ex-Chief Thomas F. Connell, of Cumberland, Md., died on February 24 at the home of his mother in that city. Mr. Connell was 40 years of age and had been connected with the Cumberland Fire Department since its organization. In 1908 he was made chief, holding that position for about five years. His father was the late Thomas Connell, who was a member of City Council for several terms. He leaves his mother, one sister and six brothers, all of Cumberland.
