纳帕首领获得了金徽章
加利福尼亚州纳帕的消防部门负责人查尔斯·奥特森(Charles F. Otterson)最近由市议会议员和他主持的瓷砖部门成员提供了一个非常漂亮的金徽章。A feature that tended to make the occasion somewhat impressive was the tact that it was presented by the mayor of the city, who had been lying at death’s door for two months as the result of an accident to an automobile in which was the executive and Chief Otterson, with another party. The automobile was struck by a railroad locomotive, killing the third party and seriously injuring the mayor. Chief Otterson was fortunate enough to escape with hardly a scratch. The presentation was made on the first appearance in public of the mayor since his injury, and was a great surprise to the recipient, who, however, expressed his appreciation in a feeling way. The badge, an illustration of which appears herewith, is a handsome piece of work, with a large diamond at the center of the crossed trumpets. On the face it bears this inscription: “Presented to Charles F. Otterson by members of the city council and fire department, October 12, 1913.”
