Chief J. P. Quigley Retires
Chief John P. Quigley of Syracuse, N. Y., resigned on May 1, which took effect May 4, to accept the appointment tendered by his brother-in-law. Commissioner James M. Lynch of the State Department of Labor, as a fire prevention expert. He was retired on a pension of $1,500, one-half his annual salary as chief. He retired on the 36th anniversary of his appointment as a member of the department.
