Boy Scouts Take Fire Prevention Course
Under the supervision of the fire department of Garfield, N. J., the Boy Scouts of the city have been taking a course in fire hazards, fire fighting and fire prevention. Upon the completion of the course they are given a written examination and if they pass satisfactorily they are then welcomed by the mayor into the official family of the city, and thereafter perform their duties in accordance with definite regulations. The slogan of the young fire fighters is “Stop ’em before they start.”
