Boise Orders Pumpers—Will Save Water Bills

The city council of Boise, Idaho has concluded negociations for the purpose of one Stutz 1,200-gallon and one Stutz 500-gallon triple combination cars that will probably be delivered within ninety days. The larger pumper will be placed in the central station and the steam engine now in use there will be held in reserve for emergencies. The 500-gallon pumper will be placed in the Ressekuie station for the use in the residential districts. According to a statement by Mayor Sherman the purchase of the pumpers will mean a saving to the city of about $5,000 in water bills inasmuch as the new rates of the Idaho Power Company call for an item of this amount for high-pressure water.
