April 26 Fire Prevention Day in Springfield
In the observance of no-accident week in Springfield, Mass., which will be from April 22 to 28, Thursday, April 26 will be set apart as Fire Prevention Day. The Fire Chief's Club of Massachusetts has been invited by Fire Chief Daggett, of Springfield to be the guests of the chamber of commerce of the city of Springfiield on that day. The invitation has been accepted and the members of the Fire Chief’s Club will meet at the Hotel Kimball at 12 o'clock noon. At 12:15 there will be a luncheon at the Hotel including besides the members of the club, the chamber of commerce, the local Rotary, Kiwanis, Exchange and Lion’s Clubs. The afternoon will be devoted to discussions of Fire Prevention principles, followed by a demonstration of fire hazards at the headquarters of the fire department. At 6 P. M. the members of the Fire Chief's Club will be the guests of the Springfield City government at a dinner.
