Appreciation of Knoxville Department
专员沃尔特·B·Bell, of the Tennessee State Department of Fire Prevention, visited Knoxville, Tenn., recently in company with one of his deputies and made a thorough inspection of the fire hazards of that city. He was accompanied by Chief Sam B. Boyd and City Fire Prevention Inspector Duncan of the local department. Mr. Bell visited the hospitals and other public buildings and declared them to be in first class condition. “We have been receiving excellent co-operation in Knoxville,” said Commissioner Bell. “Public Safety Commissioner Kuhlman, Chief Boyd and Captain Duncan are to be congratulated upon the splendid department they are maintaining for the extinguishing of fires, but even more so for the rigid inspection service which is reducing the fire hazard to a minimum.”
