American Cyanamid has decided to replace all cotton fire hose at its big Fortier plant with Dacron-jacketed hose. Plant officials are said to have based their decision on the greater dependability, superior performance and potentially longer life of the hose demonstrated during a four-year test at the plant on the Mississippi River near New Orleans.
