Aid for the Yellow Fever Sufferers.

The generous manner in which the Firemen of the country have responded to the demands made upon them for pecuniary aid, by their fever-stricken brethren of the South, cannot be too loudly applauded. Subscriptions from every State in the Union have poured in, and the Chiefs of the various Departments seem to vie with each other in their efforts in behalf of the humane movement. But still the progress of the epidemic remains unchecked, it continues its ravages unremittingly and is constantly and greedily consuming the funds which have been sent on. We hope that every Fireman will do his utmost to push forward the benevolent cause, and every Department, no matter how small its size may be and how limited the sum which it can contribute, will forward something to appease the intense suffering caused by the scourge. Donations will be duly recognized and forwarded to the places designated by addressing the same to the office of the NATIONAL FIREMAN'S JOURNAL.
