A NEW HOSE CART FOR BELLEFONTE.

The Wirt & Knox Manufacturing company, of 22 and 24 North Fourth street, Philadelphia, has recently issued a catalogue for 1904, illustrating a new line of wood-wheeled hose carts for village use. The accompanying cut shows one of the light weight roller-bearing carts, No. 410. The frame is made of tubular steel, with Archibald wheels, roller-bearing, rope reel and drag rope, friction roller, tool box. nozzle holders and fireman’s axe, the total weight of which is but 275 pounds, with a capacity for 400 feet of two and one-half-inch cotton, rubber-lined hose. The first cart of this pattern was built for the Logan fire company, of Bellefonte, Pa., and it is highly pleased with the purchase.
