World War II Veteran Honored in Bradenton, Florida

Edwin Leigh Hollins Jr., 89, who served in the U.S. Coast Guard from June 1943 until March 1946, was honored in a special ceremony last Friday at a Bradenton (FL) auto dealership.

Edwin’s son,Leigh Hollins, a retiredfirefighterand frequent contributor to and board member for188金宝搏是正规吗, contacted John Gross of Firkins Chrysler Jeep Dodge, which hasa 1943 Willys D-Day jeep on permanent display, to arrange the ceremony. Edwin was also a firefighter for 40 years, having obtained the rank of Chief of Department at the Nottingham Fire Company in Hamilton Square, New Jersey.

According to the report, Gross, whose son is in the Coast Guard, is the director of operations at Firkins and found the Willys for the dealership as a tribute to World War II veterans.
