Three people were found dead and one was injured in a mobile home fire in the southeast Iowa city of Montrose, reports The Associated Press.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Department says firefighters were called to 2777 252nd Ave., Lot 18, on Monday, January 11, 2016. When they arrived, they found the mobile home engulfed in flames.
Officilas say 33-year-old Jacob Glen Russell escaped the fire with severe burns and wounds. He was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Three others were found dead in the mobile home after the fire was under control. The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
