The search for a woman missing in the Lower North Creek fire was suspended Saturday afternoon. Local newsreportsthat “human artifacts” were found in the ruins of her home.
Two people were previously confirmed victims of the 6-square-mile wildfire that has reached 90 percent containment. Gusty winds were forecast, but Saturday’s weather proved better than expected for the more than 500 firefighters fighting the blaze. Officials declined to indicate when they expected to reach full containment.
