Kearny (NJ)- Garfield Elementary Schoolwas evacuated Monday morning for one hour after school officials found a note that led them to suspect there may have been a bomb in the building.
The note was found on the third floor of the three-story school on Belgrove Drive at 9 a.m., said Kearny Police Sgt. Bob Maguire, adding that it appeared the note was written by a child.
