A fire destroyed one home in Lake Carolina and threatened others, reports the ColaDaily.com.
The Columbia Fire Department was called to Darlington Oak Court around 3:30 a.m. and found the home already burning and the fire threatening to spread to neighboring houses.
Additional firefighters were sent to the scene to prevent the fire from spreading, and by 5:30 a.m. the situation was under control.
The home in which the fire started is considered a total loss, according to a department spokesman. No injuries were reported.
