Fire officials say it broke out just after 8 p.m. Monday off Kukui Hale Road. Firefighters had the flames under control by 11:30 p.m.
People in the area pitched in to quell the fire, providing heavy equipment to help firefighters clear the scorched area.
No word yet on what sparked that fire.
