At 1633 hours on Saturday, February 9, units from Delray Beach (FL) Fire-Rescue responded to a structure fire at amulti-family residential structure.
Firefighters arrived to findfirein theeavesof the building, spreading into one of the apartments. The fire was rapidly extinguished by arriving units using a 2 ½-inchpreconnecthoseline. Power to the entire structure was disconnected by the local utlity, causing all residents of the structure to be displaced. The owner of the building was reportedly moving all occupants to another property located in Boynton Beach.
The fire was located at 122 SE. Units responding were Battalion 1, EMS 1, Medic 1, Engine 2, Medic 2, Engine 4, Medic 4, Special Operations 5, and Fire Inspector 1. The fire is still under investigation by the Delray Beach Fire Safety Division.
