Apr. 25—Firefighters in Graham were called Monday morning to the scene of a large barn fire.

The fire was reported in the 22900 block of Meridian Avenue, about a mile south of Graham-Kapowsin High School. The southbound lanes of Meridian Avenue were blocked at 224th Street East while crews worked to extinguish the flames.

Graham Fire & Rescue crews were on the scene of the fire before 8 a.m., according to a tweet from the fire department. Few details were immediately available.

Photos of the fire appeared to show the barn completely consumed by flames with a large amount of smoke rising into the sky.
