Apr. 25—The Kansas City Fire Department responded to a fire in an apartment complex Monday afternoon that spread to three units, officials said.
Firefighters were dispatched around 2:10 p.m. to a two-story apartment building at 1702 Ella Fitzgerald Lane. Jason Spreitzer, a spokesman for the department, said the fire started in an attic space in one of the units and was contained to three units at the complex.
没有人在火灾中受伤,他说。
Mayor Quinton Lucas on Monday tweeted about the fire, saying, “Big fire incident at a residential complex on 12th Street… Hoping for safety of all residents and our first responders.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Spreitzer said.
