Sacramento (CA) firefighters discovered a huge marijuana growing operation during a response to a house fire on February 20, 2010. More than 200 plants growing and at least 20 pounds of dried marijuana were found at the scene, according to a report inThe Sacramento Bee. Crews responded quickly and contained the fire to the attic. A Sacramento utility official indicated tenants had spliced the electric wires and were stealing power before it could be registered on the meter.
