Late Wednesday afternoon on November 12, 2014, a raging fire broke out at a home on Stevens Street in Roosevelt, New York, on Long Island.
Firefightersfound the house engulfed in flames on arrival and began anaggressive attackto control the blaze.
Initial interior efforts were successful, but units were pushed back by the heavy volume of fire with high heat and heavy smoke conditions.
Mutual aid companies from surrounding areas arrived at the scene to assist with the effort.
No injuries were reported from the scene and theincidentwas under control with an hour.
