Fallen Boston (MA) Firefighter Michael Kennedy was laid to rest today in West Roxbury.
Kennedy was killed along with Lt. Edward Walsh in a raging fire in Boston last week. Thefuneral for Lt. Walshwas held yesterday in Watertown.
Authorities Search for Cause of Fatal Boston Fire
Kennedy, a Boston native and Marine Corps combat veteran who saw action in Iraq, had been a firefighter for six years. He was a CrossFit trainer in his spare time, a motorcycle enthusiast, and wasplanning to run the Boston Marathonalong with several of his fellow firefighters. He was also reportedly fond of cooking and a mentor to youngsters as part of the Big Brother association.
