Cause of Deadly Minneapolis Fire Remains Unknown One Year Later

The cause of a deadly New Year’s Day fire in Minneapolis remains unknown one year later, reports CBS Minnesota.

Three people were killed and more than a dozen injured when the explosion and fire ripped through an apartment building in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood at 8 a.m. on New Year’s Day 2014.

Fire crews not only battled the flames but subzero temperatures.

Victims talked about months of hospital stays and physical and psychological trauma that still prevents them from resuming their normal lives.

The fire’s cause has not been determined, but a team of attorneys representing the victims continues to pore over the evidence.
