Jersey City(NJ) firefighters battled another fire that broke out arecycling plantthat was struck by a massive fire in August.
The Jersey Journal(http://bit.ly/15VAXnZ) reports that the most recent fire occurred after 8 p.m. Sunday and started after a pile of scrap wire, 10 feet high by 25 feet wide, caught fire. Firefighters used a large payloader to take the pile apart before extinguishing the fire; officials left the scene before 10 .m.
The previous fire occurred in a large pile of metal and took more than 12 hours to bring under control. The fire also destroyed thedepartment’s only tower ladder.
