Fire Department of New York (FDNY) units in the New York City borough of Queens battled a two alarm fire in a house under construction on Tuesday evening November 17.

The fire was the latest in a recent rash of fires in the neighborhood of Forest Hills.

First-arriving companies transmitted a second alarm on arrival due to the heavy volume of fire and proximity to the exposures which were already partially involved.

Handlines and multi-versals were immediately put into operation due to the imminent collapse potential of the mostly wooden structure.

Firefightersbrough theincidentunder control within 45 minutes with no reported injuries.

FDNY Fire Marshals were on the scene to initiate their investigation.
