A suspected carbon monoxide leak led to an explosion and fire at a Philadelphia residence early Thursday.
The local CBS affiliate (http://cbsloc.al/1mhi6eF) reports that the incident began at about 2:15 a.m in Center City. According to investigators, the incident began as a report of high levels ofcarbon monoxideinside a home; utility crews responded to check for a leak.

Shortly after, firefighters located a fire in the basement of the home where the leak originated. Everyone inside that home was then evacuated. At about 3:10 a.m., a neighboring apartment complex was evacuated.
At about 3:52 a.m., an explosion occurred in the original home where thecarbon monoxideleak and fire were located, causing the original dwelling to collapse.
Firefighters placed the three-alarm fire fully under control by 5:20 a.m. One resident was hospitalized with minor injuries.
