Honor Guards Compete at FDIC 2012

The FDIC National Honor Guard Competition will be held on April 20 duringFDIC 2012in Indianapolis, Indiana. Some of the very best honor guard units from across the country have already registered and will be performing. These units will match their skills and discipline against each other on a newly designed course which will test many aspects of Honor Guard duties.

There is no charge to watch this amazing display of honor and dignity as the teams compete. If you are starting an honor guard or color guard and would like to see the best and get some pointers, here is an excellent opportunity.

The judging for this event will be performed by the instructors of the National Honor Guard Academy using a scoring system that not only judges the basics required, but allows teams to go beyond the minimum and display their very finest performance. The judges are all experienced and respected members of outstanding units themselves with vast experience in performing and judging. They will be available to answer your questions as well and provide you with tips and information as to get your organizations honor guard started.

If you are a member of a team there are still 4 slots open for teams who wish to sharpen and test their skills against the very best.
