Sterling Rope strives to manufacture the most advanced, lightweight, and durable ropes available as well as design and construct hardware and kits that make the rope and other equipment more accessible and easy to use. The latest in Sterling’s endeavors is the new Escape Kit Pocket Bag, designed specifically to store afirefighter’s escape kit inside the pocket of bunker pants.
This versatile and durable bag provides a cost-effective way for departments to keep everything organized when speed and access are critical. The Pocket Bag can be configured for left or right-handed use and has a reversible cover flap that can integrate with any turnout’s existing hook and loop closure, no modification required. It has dipped front pockets for quick access to hooks and descenders.
The high abrasion and wear areas are lined with ultra-durable Orca® fabric to prevent damage. The bag also comes with MOLLE style straps on the back that allow it to be worn as a hip mounted pack, if desired.
“Speed is critical when you are in an escape situation,” says Matt Hunt, Sales Manager at Sterling. “The Escape Kit Pocket Bag is essential for keeping your equipment organized. The last thing you want is to untangle your escape kit wearing gloves when you need to get out of a building.”
The Escape Kit Pocket Bag will be introduced at theFDICTrade Show Exhibition in Indianapolis, Indiana, on April 20-25 and will be available online and through Sterling retailers and authorized distributors immediately.
