Winsted Has 25th Anniversary
Union Hose Co., No. 1, of the Winsted, Conn., Fire Department, celebrated its twenty-fifth birthday.
The Winsted department is entirely volunteer, has four fire houses located in different sections of the city, the central house of these having three trucks. There are five companies of 25 men each. Each house has two housemen, who sleep at the quarters, but who are not required to be there at any specified hours.
