The good results of sprinklers in averting fire loss are shown in the May report of the Boston Manufacturers' Mutual Fire Insurance Company. According to that authority there was an average loss of $67.40 per fire in 66 protected buildings, as against $1,831.25 in 12 structures not sprinkled. This seems to be typical of the proportionate losses per month in buildings of each class.
