What is Said of Us-

From the New York Evening Mail.

The NATIONAL FIREMAN'S JOURNAL IS a new venture in journalism and in a direction which promises to be useful to Firemen and the public, as well as successful to tho publishers Messrs. Everett, Thomson & Co. So far as we are aware, the ground proposed to be coverted by the new paper is now unoccupied. The JOURNAL is to be devoted exclusively to the interests of the Firemen of this country. Its editor, Ct . Clifford Thompson, announces that “ it will watch over the intorosts of tho Firemen in all « ‘tions of tho country, and endoavor to keep tho 1 all informed of whatever occurs that is likely 0 be of interest or advantago to them.” And possessing every facility for doing this, as wo k now the JOURNAL does, the new paper offers itsolf is a most desirable and useful medium of intsrrc mmunication betweon the Firemen themselves 1 nd the public whom they so nobly sorve. The JOURNAL is a sixteen page quarto, of handson 0 appearance, and will appear every Saturday The first number is full of good things, in groat variety, but all bearing upon its specialty. We commend the now enterprise as deserving of the support of all members of fire departments and also of insurance officers and agents, who obviously, are interested largoly in fire department matters.
