Water Bids Opened.
WERNERSVILLE, Pa.—The contract has been formally awarded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to the Pitt Construction Company, of Pittsburg, for constructing a 300,000 gal. water filtration plant, half million gallon reinforced concrete covered reservoir, settling basin and appurtenances for waterworks for the State Asylum for Chronic Insane at Wernersville. in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Chester & Fleming, consulting engineers, Union Bank building, Pittsburg, Pa.
FLINT, Mich.—City has let contract to the Lynchburg Foundry Co. for about 12 miles of IF, 12 and 8-in. c. i. pipe at their bid of $22.90 perton. f. o. b. Flint.
