Washington State Memorial
A memorial consisting of four walnut placques has been dedicated at the Washington State Fire Service Historical Museum at Seattle. On the largest placque, 18 X 26 inches, are the words: “In Memory of the Firefighters of This State Who Have Answered the Last Alarm.”
The three other placques, each 10 X 15 inches, have spaces for the names of deceased firemen. One of these placques is reserved for the names of firemen who died in the line of duty. A memory book contains a biographical sketch of each man whose name is on a placque.
