Two Canadian Associations Hold Conventions

The convention, golden jubilee and reunion of the Provincial Firemen’s Association was held on August 3 to 5, at Seaforth. Ont., Can. The procession included 20 companies, the largest on any occasion, accompanied by their respective bands and the New York Scottish Highlanders’ Pipe Band.

An interesting feature of the parade was the presence of the veteran fire brigade of Hamilton, Ont. The Ambitious City’s first squad of fire-fighters, about 15 of the old Hamilton volunteers, formed a contingent with their younger brothers, and brought with them their choicest possession, the oldest fire engine in the province.
