In 1973, the fire service seemed finally to be on the move—nationally. We had the report on the National Commission on Fire Prevention and Control, the legislation that came out of it and, of course, the increased Congressional emphasis on emergency medical and rescue services.

1973 has gone into the books and 1974 is the year we should be concentrating on. Accordingly, what do you think the fire service should be pushing for in this new year?
