The Lessons of the Fire Congress.
In order that our readers may know bow the recent London Fire Congress is regarded in England, we reprint an editorial from Vulcan, one of our London exchanges :
In our last issue we endeavored to draw the attention of the brigades to the great opportunity which was furnished by the congress to pick up new and improved methods for the work to which we are all devoted. During the congress, we were able to gather some idea of the drift of feeling in this direction from those officers who were present. We are glad to say that there was a disposition everywhere to learn all that was useful, and also we are satisfied there some points upon which the fire brigade service of this country feels that it is working upon the most practical lines.
