The Great Parade October 12.
All fire organizations who have not received an invitation to take part in the Columbian celebration which takes place in this city on October 12 are requested to send in the names of their companies, with the names of lhe officers, chief engineers and assistant engineers, who will take part. Marshal Crane desires this information, as a great number of letters are sent him asking for particulars. He says that all associations are most welcome.
After the parade a banquet, tendered to the visiting as well as the home organizations, will be served in the rooms of the Volunteer Firemen’s Association. Mayor Hugh J. Grantis expected to be present and welcome the visitors on behalf of the city, and Commissioner Wahle, secretary of the committee of 100. will deliver a short address. Many of the committee of 100 will be present and deliver short addresses also. All firemen are welcome. Address Michael Crane, marshal, Essex Market building New' York city.
