INVESTIGATION of incendiary fires, in order to be productive of results, requires great scrutiny and persistent inquiry. The success or failure of an investigation depends upon the thoroughness and attention to details given by the investigator. Consequently, members of the Fire Department who are first on the scene, are in the great majority of cases, charged with the duty of discovering evidence of incendiarism, if such may he present.
