TEN FIELD SECRETARIES TO CARRY OUT EDUCATION PLANS OF N. F. P. A.
Public Should Treat Fire Waste as a Plague and It Should Be Fought as Such— Fire Marshals Granted Chapter Membership
INSTEAD of the present two field secretaries of the National Fire Protection Association, plans were made at the annual convention held in Chicago, May 9-12 to send out ten such engineers. Irving T. Bush, chairman of the finance committee and sponsor of the plan, outlined a way to raise $500,000 to finance such work. An outline of the problem was presented in a booklet, "Waging Systematic War Against Fire,” which was distributed at the convention. This convention made a high attendance mark—570 registered.
