Portion of St. Paul Water Deficit Removed

According to figures announced by J. W. Kelsey, superintendent of the water works system, the increased revenue received during August and September has decreased the water deficit of St. Paul, Minn., almost half of the entire amount.

The total increased revenues received by the department for these two months was $38,912.23, as compared to the revenues for August and September, 1924. As the operating deficit in the department was $60,000 the increased revenues have already reduced it more than half. Mr. Kelsey said there is no doubt now that the increased revenues under the new rates will offset the deficit before the year is over.
