Rapid Headway Made by Fire in Building Occupied by Wholesale Garment Firms- Salvage Covers Help Reduce Water Damage
FOUR alarms were sounded in quick succession for a fire which broke out early Wednesday evening, September 9 in the heart of the wholesale garment section of Pittsburgh, Pa., and threatened to destroy the entire building before the flames were brought under control. The building was on Fifth Avenue between Hooper and Magee Streets in a thickly populated tenement section.
