Pittsburgh Firemen Divided on Two Platoon Question

The firemen of Pittsburgh, Pa., are divided on the question of adopting the twoplatoon system. At a recent hearing on the proposed ordinance, creating the two-platoon system for that city, firemen both favored and opposed the system. The ordinance calls for six additional men, but C. S. Hubbard, Director of Public Safety, at the hearing, stated that the department officers claim that it will require 203 additional men.
