AN unusual honor has been accorded to James I. Brennan, M. E., the City Efficiency Engineer—functioning as water works and fire commissioner—of Pittsburgh, Pa. At the recent commencement exercises of Duquesne University there was conferred upon him the degree of Doctor of Science, in recognition of his professional attainments and work as an engineer and of his public services at home and abroad.
