Piggott Chief of Rome, N. Y.

Harry W. Piggott has been appointed Chief of the Rome, N. Y., Fire Department to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Chief George M. Bower on October 1. He has been Acting Chief since Chief Bower resigned.

Chief Piggott was appointed to the department on December 19, 1913. He was promoted to Lieutenant, August 15. 1915; Captain on November 1, 1919, and First Assistant Chief on February 14, 1927. From point of service, he is one of the oldest members of the department.
